RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, adopt an Ordinance, to amend Ordinance No. 6570, nunc pro tunc, to correct a clerical drafting error in Ordinance No. 6570, pertaining to the amendment of Chapter 18.14 (Public and Special-Purpose Zones) of Title 18 (Zoning) of the Anaheim Municipal Code.
DISCUSSION:
On May 21, 2024, the City Council unanimously introduced the subject ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 6570, nunc pro tunc, to reverse a clerical error that inadvertently utilized a number associated with an existing subsection having the effect of replacing an existing unrelated provision.
If the City Council adopts the subject ordinance to correct this clerical error, it will have retroactive legal effect to the effective date of Ordinance No. 6570, which was April 18, 2024.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
The costs to process and implement this Code amendment are included in the Planning and Building Department’s FY 2023/24 General Fund budget.
