1. CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. by Chair Beas.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Board member Brio led the Board in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: Joe Perez presented a communication from the YWCA of North Orange County outlining their reasoning behind YWCA’s underperformance in FY2020/2021.
4. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None.
5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Chair Beas presented the January 20, 2022 meeting minutes to the Board Members for changes and/or corrections. Vice Chair Barnett made a motion to approve the January 20, 2022 meeting minutes, second provided by Board Member Brio; motion was approved with four votes in favor and one abstention. Chair Beas accepted the meeting minutes.
6. NEW BUSINESS:
A. FY2022/2023 CDBG Funding Recommendation Discussion and Approval - Joe Perez prepared Board members to discuss, formulate, and approve the FY2022/2023 CDBG Non-Profit Agency funding recommendation. At the conclusion of a short discussion, Chair Beas made a motion to approve the 2022/2023 CDBG funding recommendation as recited by Vice Chair Barnett and second by Board member Brio; motion was approved with five votes in favor. Chair Beas accepted the FY2022-2023 CDBG funding approval.
7. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS:
A. Volunteer Recognition Luncheon – Joe Perez shared the Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon will be rescheduled to a future date to be determined and will be hosted at the City National Grove of Anaheim. Joe Perez agreed to communicate the date as soon as it was confirmed.
8. ADJOURNMENT: Chair Beas reported the next meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. and adjourned the meeting at 6:06 p.m.
