1. CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:33 p.m. by Chair Beas.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Vice Chair Barnett led the Board in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None.
4. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None.
5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Chair Beas presented the February 10, 2022 meeting minutes to the Board Members for changes and/or corrections. Vice Chair Barnett requested an edit to correct the call to order made by Vice Chair Barnett. Vice Chair Barnett made a motion to approve the February 10, 2022 meeting minutes, Second by Board Member Kleine; motion was approved with three votes in favor and one abstention. Chair Beas also presented the June 2, 2022 meeting minutes to the Board Members for changes and/or corrections. Linda made a motion to approve the June 2, 2022 meeting minutes, Second by Board Member Kleine; motion was approved with four votes in favor. Chair Beas accepted the minutes.
6. NEW BUSINESS:
A. CSB Chair and Vice Chair Elections: Joe Perez opened the floor for nominations for the Chair position. Nomination was made for Chair Beas to continue as Chair of the CSB. Four votes made in favor, none in opposition. Chair Beas was reinstated as Chair. Joe Perez opened the floor for nominations for the Vice Chair position. Nomination was made for Vice Chair Barnett to continue as Vice Chair of the CSB. Four votes were made in favor, none in opposition. Vice Chair Barnett was reinstated as Vice Chair.
B. FY22/23 CDBG Funding Cycle - Joe Perez updated the Board of changes made to FY22/23 CDBG funding calendar and agreed to inform Board members of any additional change that may come.
C. Anaheim Mobile Family Resource Center Project - Joe Perez provided the Board with an informative presentation on the Anaheim Mobile Family Resources Center Program that serves isolated and disconnected neighborhoods with much needed community resources. Joe shared that a total of 28 neighborhoods were served with neighborhood “pop-up” resource fair visits made directly in the neighborhood being served.
7. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Joe Perez presented to the Board members the Anaheim Community Services Summer Program Guide and shared about the Summer Concert Series at various locations throughout the city.
8. ADJOURNMENT: Chair Beas adjourned the meeting at 6:21 p.m. and reported the next meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 5:30 p.m.
