1. CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m. by Vice Chair Barnett.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Vice Chair Board Barnett led the Board in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None.
4. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: Joe Perez introduced new Board Member, Usha Shah and asked her to introduce herself to the Board.
5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Due to the lack of quorum, Vice Chair Barnett reported that the November 20, 2022, meeting minutes will be carried over to the scheduled Board meeting of January 26, 2023.
6. NEW BUSINESS: Joe Perez informed the Board of the second phase of the FY23/24 funding cycle that is comprised by the non-profit agency presentations to be heard at this meeting in the order listed below:
A. Non-profit Agency Presentation Schedule
1. Meals on Wheels Orange County – Presented on their Congregate and Home Delivered Meal program. Requested $60,000 in funding for each program.
2. Orange County Family Justice Center Foundation – Presented on their Violence Prevention Program. Requested $48,000 in funding for the program.
3. Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Anaheim-Cypress – Presented on their After-school Youth Program. Requested $52,000 in funding for the program.
4. Anaheim Family YMCA – Presented on their Youth Sports and Youth Swim Programs. Requested $15,000 for Youth Sports and $10,000 for Youth Swim Program.
5. YWCA of Orange County – Presented on their Youth Employment Service Program.
Requested $20,000 in funding for the program.
7. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: None.
8. ADJOURNMENT: Vice Chair Barnett adjourned the meeting at 7:20 p.m. and reported the next meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 5:30 p.m.
