1. CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. by Chair Beas.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Board member Higgins led the Board in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None.
4. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None
5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Chair Beas presented the May 13, 2021 minutes to the Board Members for changes and/or corrections. Vice Chair Barnett made a motion to approve the May 13, 2021 meeting minutes, seconded by Board Member Ma’ae; motion was approved with 5 votes in favor. Chair Beas accepted the minutes.
6. NEW BUSINESS:
a) Election of Chair and Vice Chair Positions - Joe Perez opened the floor for nominations for the Chair position for the fiscal year starting July 2021. Kandee Beas was the sole nominee for the Chair position; Kandee Beas was voted in to the position with 6 votes in favor, none opposed. Joe Perez opened the floor for nominations for the Vice Chair position for fiscal year starting July 2021. Linda Barnett was the sole nominee for the Vice Chair position; Linda Barnett was voted in to the position with 6 votes in favor, none opposed.
7. OLD BUSINESS:
a) Presentation by John Guastaferro – Executive Director of the Anaheim Community Foundation (ACF) – John Guastaferro shared a PowerPoint presentation on a number of projects that the ACF has begun including a Non-Profit Agency Survey and the ImpACT Anaheim Giving Campaign set to take place on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Joe Perez added that CSB members could access all ACF information at their website, anaheimcf.org
8. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Joe Perez informed the Board of the City’s Celebrate Summer marketing campaign.
9. ADJOURNMENT: Chair Beas adjourned the meeting at 6:04 p.m. and reported the next meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 5:30 p.m.
