RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Yesenia Rojas for her appointment as a local migrant deputy for the State of Guanajuato, Mexico. (Requested by Council Member Faessel and Council Member Rubalcava)
Certificate: Recognizing Goodwill Industries of Orange County’s Centennial Anniversary. (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
