Add: The density in the Platinum Triangle Mixed Use (PTMU) Overlay Zone Arena and Transit Districts is to be calculated as the number of dwelling units per acre of land, including the area used for open space, recreational uses, and accessory uses associated with the residential use, but excluding public and private streets, public and private easements for ingress and egress, and any area used for non-residential purposes.
To ensure consistencty between the General Plan and Zoning Code for the Platinum Triangle to reflect how density is calculated for the OCVIBE Project
The residential density in the Arena District provides for a high density mixed-use district with a balance of open space and recreational uses, which are accessed by the public and residents by public and private streets and driveways and pedestrian sidewalks with access easements.

The proposed amendment would promote General Plan GOAL
8.1: Protect and encourage pedestrian travel. Policy No. 1 Encourage and improve pedestrian facilities that link
development to the circulation network and that serve as transition between other modes of travel. The sidewalks provided adjacent to the interior vehicular driveways of the residential district in Arena District Sub-Area D1 and D2 would allow for more flexible design for pedestrian facilities that would provide pedestrian circulation within the proposed building setbacks, recreational-leisure areas, and the
Neighborhood Park for seamless transitions throughout the district.
