RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim Fire and Rescue for their assistance with Hurricane Helene, and Hurricane Milton. (Requested by Mayor Aitken) Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim Police SWAT Team for being selected as the California Association of Tactical Officers 2024 Team of the Year. (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
