RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Mike Rubin’s retirement as a Board Member with the Anaheim Community Foundation. (Requested by City Staff) Certificate: Recognizing 2024 Anaheim Tech Scholar Recipients. (Requested by City Staff)
Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim Fall Festival Committee’s efforts in the 100th Anniversary of the Fall Festival. (Requested by Mayor Aitken) Certificate: Recognizing the 50th Anniversary of West Anaheim Girl Scout Troop 3702. (Requested by Council Member Carlos Leon)
Certificate: Recognizing the 40th Anniversary of GBS Linens. (Requested by Council Member Carlos Leon)
