RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Santa Ana River Lakes for being declared the best fishing opportunity to catch trophy rainbow trout in the nation. (Requested by Mayor Pro Tem Meeks)
Certificate: Recognizing the Colony Wine Merchant for their 10 years of business. (Requested by Council Member Rubalcava)
Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim High School’s football team for competing in the CIF Championships. (Requested by Council Member Rubalcava) Certificate: Recognizing the Trauma Intervention Program of Orange County for their 30th anniversary. (Requested by City Staff)

There is no budgetary impact.
