1. CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:33 p.m. by Chair Barnett.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Board Member Tagaloa led the Board in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None
4. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None
5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Chair Barnett presented the October 10, 2024, minutes to the Board Members for changes and/or corrections. Board Member Tagaloa motioned to approve the minutes, seconded by Board Member Barrera. Motion was approved with 4 in favor.
6. NEW BUSINESS:
a) FY25/26 CDBG Funding Cycle
a. Non-Profit Agency Presentations: The following agencies provided in-person presentations for the Board’s funding consideration.
• Access California Services – Family Resource Center Support • Love Anaheim – Choice Markey Food Truck
• Alzheimer’s OC – Acacia Adult Day Care
• Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Orange County
• Boys and Girls of Greater Anaheim – Cypress
• Community Legal Aid SoCal
• FentanylSolution.org – Engagement and Outreach
Chair Barnett reminded the group of the application requirements when detailing their funding sources and requested CDBG amounts.
7. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Chair Barnett opened the floor for informational items. Manager Joe Perez announced that he will be emailing the next round of applications to the Board for review, as well as providing a template to assist in formulating their recommendations.
8. ADJOURNMENT: Chair Barnett adjourned the meeting at 7:46 p.m. and reported the next meeting is scheduled for January 16, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
