RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Ordinance, establish the campaign contribution limit in the City of Anaheim Campaign Reform Law at $2,700, for the election cycle commencing on January 1, 2025, as required by Section 1.09.050 of the Anaheim Municipal Code.
DISCUSSION:
On January 28, 2025, the City Council introduced an ordinance establishing the campaign contribution limit in the City of Anaheim Campaign Reform Law at $2,700 for the election cycle commencing on January 1, 2025, as required by Section 1.09.050 of the Anaheim Municipal Code (Attachment No. 2 –Staff Report). The ordinance requires a second reading for adoption. Upon adoption, the City Clerk shall notify all candidates for City office of the amount of the contribution limit then in effect.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
