RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing the Fire Watch team for volunteering 311 hours patrolling east Anaheim during the red flag warning in January. (Requested by City Staff)
Certificate: Recognizing Bharat Patel as Citizen of the Year for Anaheim and A.C. Green as Person of the Year for the Cypress College Foundation’s Americana Awards. (Requested by City Staff)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
