RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Joe Baldo as a 2025 Bishop’s Award Honoree at The Orange Catholic Foundation’s 22nd Annual Conference on Business & Ethics for his work with Juvenile Hall and Higher Ground. (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
Certificate: Recognizing winners of the Cesar Chavez Day poster contest. (Requested by City Staff)
Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim resident and hotel owner, Ernest Badalian, who will be turning 100 years old. (Requested by Council Member Kurtz) Certificate: Recognizing former Assistant City Attorney Mehtab Sandhu for his judicial appointment to the Orange County Superior Court. (Requested by City Staff) IMPACT ON BUDGET:
