RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognize Japanese American Korean War Veteran Norio Uyematsu for his work in promoting the stories of Korean War Veterans. (Requested by Mayor Pro Tem Meeks)
Proclamation: Recognizing the 40th Anniversary of the Anaheim Hills Rotary Club. (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
