RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Michele Richards’ retirement as Chief Executive Officer of the Orange County Fair & Event Center. (Requested by Mayor Aitken) Certificate: Recognizing WISEPlace on their grand opening of a new Permanent Supportive Housing Project in Orange County that serves unaccompanied women. (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
Certificate: Recognizing the Team Kids Pilot Program for its commitment to positive youth development through collaboration with public safety professionals, including police officers and firefighters. (Requested by Mayor Aitken) IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
