* Bidder submitted pricing for an alternative carpet that did not meet the required specifications and has requested to withdraw their bid.
The IFB was issued to procure carpet tiles that match the existing flooring at the Anaheim Convention Center. To ensure uniformity in appearance, quality, and performance throughout the facility, bidders were required to submit pricing for the specified product: Bentley Mills, Product No. 157079-004.
A quantity of 3,000 square yards was specified, based on Bentley Mills’ minimum order requirement for this made-to-order carpet tile. All tiles must be brand new, factory- sealed, and fully compliant with the specifications outlined in the solicitation.
City staff will use the tiles to replace flooring sections as needed, thereby upholding the Convention Center’s high standards for aesthetics and durability. Each carpet tile must be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty of at least 15 years, protecting against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, service, and handling.
Bentley Mills, Inc. was identified as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all specifications and requirements set forth in the IFB.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Sufficient funds are available in the Convention Center’s Fiscal Year 2024/25 budget.
Respectfully submitted, Concurred by,
Kari Bouffard Thomas Morton, Executive Director
Purchasing Agent Convention, Sports and Entertainment
