RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Canyon High School Track and Field athlete’s Jayden Legaspi and Madison Gallacher for qualifying for the Division 1 CIF State Championships. (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
Certificate: Recognizing El Rancho Charter School’s Sydney Tran who competed in the 100th Scripps National Spelling Bee. (Requested by Mayor Aitken) Certificate: Recognizing Richard Stein’s appointment to the California Arts Council. (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
