RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing NAMM’s continued partnership with the City of Anaheim, the upcoming 50th Anniversary in Anaheim, and the organization’s 125th Anniversary. (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
Certificate: Recognizing Dan DeBassio, Deputy Director of Public Works, retirement with the City of Anaheim. (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
Certificate: Recognizing the 25th Anniversary of Country Family Café. (Requested by Council Member Leon)
Certificate: Recognizing Police Lieutenant Jonathan Yepes’ retirement with the City of Anaheim. (Requested by Council Member Rubalcava)
Certificate: Recognizing Servite High School’s Track and Field team for winning their first CIF State Championship. (Requested by Council Member Kurtz) IMPACT ON BUDGET:
