A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTING THE
"EAST ANAHEIM MASTER PLAN OF
SANITARY SEWERS FINANCIAL
IMPLEMENTATION PLAN ADDENDUM,
AUGUST 2024.”
WHEREAS, the future needs of the CITY for expansion and capital improvements of its sanitary sewer system fees require periodic updating and amendment to account for growth and shifting population patterns; and
WHEREAS, the existing sewer infrastructure f or porti ons of the CITY is antiquated and may be inadequate to handle future capacities expected to be generated by the land uses permitted on the CITY'S General Plan; and
WHEREAS, changes in land uses and revised sewer design parameters make it desirable to develop long-and short-range plans for the CITY'S sewer system; and
WHEREAS, the most comprehensive and reliable method for study of sanitary needs required a regional approach rather than more fragmented study areas previously utilized to determine future sewer requirements; and
WHEREAS, the East Anaheim Area that is the subject of this study is generally bounded by the Orange Freeway (State Route 57) and the Central Anaheim Master Plan of Sanitary Sewers Study Area, on the south by the Southern City limits, and on the east by the Eastern City limits, and on the north by the northern City limits; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to adopt the East Anaheim Master Plan of Sanitary Sewers Financial Implementation Plan Addendum dated August 2024 on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. The City Council does hereby adopt the "East Anaheim Master Plan of Sanitary Sewers Financial Implementation Plan Addendum, A ugust 2024" to supersede previous sanitary sewer Financial Implementation Plan of the area included within the study area thereof.
2. Prior resolutions adopting sanitary sewer studies and/or Master Plans and/or Financial Implementation Plans or portions thereof which are 2 outside the area surveyed by the East Anaheim Master Plan of Sanitary Sewers shall remain in full force and effect.
