RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Proclamation: Recognizing October 2025 as National Community Planning Month. (Requested by City Staff)
Proclamation: Recognizing Anaheim Housing Authority's 50th Anniversary. (Requested by City Staff)
Recognition: Recognizing Isabella Rodriguez for donating proceeds from her lemonade stand to support Gilbert High School’s teen program. (Requested by Council Member Leon)
Recognition: Recognizing Sophia Romero for her outstanding leadership and contributions to the community in District 3. (Requested by Council Member Rubalcava)
Recognition: Recognizing Anaheim Police Department officers and the Bank Manager for their professional handling of the incident at Bank of America. (Requested by Council Member Rubalcava)
