RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, ratify a recognition and approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Ratify Proclamation: Recognizing Judy Koyama as a founding leader of the Orange County Buddhist Church Girl Scouts Troop. (Requested by Council Member Kristen Maahs)
Proclamation: Recognizing November 1, 2025, as Extra Mile Day. (Requested by Council Member Kristen Maahs)
Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim High School’s Football Team. (Requested by Council Member Carlos Leon)

There is no budgetary impact.
