A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM RATIFYING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT
APPLICATION AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR THE FY 2026
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL (ABC) GRANT
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR
HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE ALL REQUIRED GRANT
DOCUMENTS AND AMENDING THE BUDGET
ACCORDINGLY
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (the “Grantor”) has invited public agencies, including the City of Anaheim, to submit an application for the FY 2026 Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Grant (the “Grant”) to the Grantor; and
WHEREAS, in September 2025, the Police Chief of the City of Anaheim, by and through his designee, submitted an application on behalf of the City of Anaheim to the Grantor for the Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City is familiar with the terms, conditions and limitations of the Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City is willing and able to conform to each of the terms, conditions and limitations imposed upon the Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded and desires to accept the Grant; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the annual budget of the City to reflect and incorporate the funds awarded to the City pursuant to the Grant, and to increase the annual appropriations and expenditures in the appropriate City program to reflect such award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. The submission of the application for the Grant by the Police Chief on behalf of the City of Anaheim, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, to the Grantor is hereby ratified and approved.
2. The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby agrees to, and by this resolution does, accept the Grant without further action of the City Council being required therefore.
3. The City of Anaheim hereby agrees to comply with each and all of the terms, conditions and limitations imposed by the Grantor upon the Grant, and the 2 City Manager, or his designee is hereby authorized and directed to execute any agreements, assurances, or other documents that are required or necessary in connection with the acceptance or implementation of the Grant.
4. The annual budget of the City of Anaheim for fiscal year 2025-26 shall be amended by increasing the appropriations and authorized expenditures in the Restricted Law Enforcement Grant Fund account in such amount as are equal to the amount of funds to be received by the City from the Grant.
