RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Chain Reaction Music Venue, for operating in the City of Anaheim for nearly 30 years (Requested by Council Member Kristen Maahs) Certificate: Recognizing Randy Reyes for his years of service to the City of Anaheim (Requested by Council Member Natalie Rubalcava) Certificate: Recognizing Toastmasters International, Anaheim Club 2, for their 100th Anniversary (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
Certificate: Recognizing Dr. Ash Hakhamian and his team for their efforts to stabilize and provide care for a critically injured dog (Requested by Mayor Pro Tem Carlos Leon)
Certificate: Recognizing David Boyle from Vons on his retirement and for his dedication and work portraying Santa Claus (Requested by Council Member Natalie Rubalcava)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
