RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Janis Heckel on her retirement as Executive Director of the Anaheim Community Foundation (Requested by City Staff) Certificate: Recognizing Brent Finlay on his retirement as Chief Executive Officer of the Anaheim Family YMCA. (Requested by Mayor Aitken) Certificate: Recognizing Radiant Beer Co. on their 5th Anniversary (Requested by Mayor Pro Tem Leon)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
