A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING A LABOR MANAGEMENT WORKERS' COMPENSATION
ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
ANAHEIM FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION, LOCAL 2899 AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2018-020
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Firefighters Association, Local 2899 have engaged in discussions to expand the Dispute Resolution Agreement, which was a pilot program established pursuant to Resolution No. 2018-020 as an alternative dispute mechanism for workers' compensation claims; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Firefighters Association, Local 2899 agrees with the terms outlined in the Labor Management Workers' Compensation Alternative Dispute Resolution Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference herein, and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the part of the Labor Management Workers' Compensation Alternative Dispute Resolution Agreement dated between the parties has been executed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Agreement and as a result the need to rescind Resolution No. 2018-020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows:
SECTION 1.
The Labor Management Workers' Compensation Alternative Dispute Resolution Agreement dated between the Anaheim Firefighters Association, Local 2899 and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference herein, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2.
Resolution No. 2018 – 020 is hereby rescinded.
SECTION 3.
This resolution shall supersede and render null and void the provisions of any prior resolution to the extent such provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution.
SECTION 4.
This resolution shall become operative on the date of adoption. 2 THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 3rd day of March, 2026, by the following roll call vote:
