RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Public Works employee Jose Sanchez for his role in stopping an assault on a mother and her daughter. (Requested by Council Member Meeks) Certificate: Recognizing the Anaheim Police Department for participating in the 2026 Baker 2 Vegas Challenge Cup Relay receiving First place in their category and Fifth place overall. (Requested by Council Member Natalie Rubalcava) Certificate: Recognizing Irving Schwartz for turning 100 years old on March 11th (Requested by Council Member Natalie Rubalcava)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
