To those council members who approved the festival center project:

There are no words I have to describe how disappointed and sickened I am that you voted in favor of the Festival project.

You have all listened to numerous members of the Anaheim Hills community give intelligent and well substantiated arguments as to why this project should not be approved. You’ve heard residents describe their terrifying experiences of trying to evacuate during the last few fires they have lived through, and still have remained unmoved.

As much as you want to put your faith in the so called “ experts’ who you consulted, the real experts are the people who live in district 6, and their experiences mean nothing to any of you.

As a resident of Anaheim Hills, I feel that my community is being discriminated against. Since I can’t come to any rational explanation as to why any of you in good conscience could put my life, and the lives of my family and community at risk, I’mleft to imagine all kinds of possibilities.

I ask myself, is this decision motivated by personal and or political gain? Is there a perceived sense that people living in the hills are somehow privileged” and need to be taken down? Is there an unconscious desire for older white people to die because they are supposedly the oppressors in society? What is it? Really, what is the reason?
Whatever the reason, your decision is wrong and unjust. Ifpeople and property are lost in the inevitable next fire, there will be blood on your hands. In the meantime, before the next fire, quality of life in the Hills will be further eroded by more traffic on already overcrowded streets, impossible parking at our local places of commerce, and now living in even more fear that our lives and the lives of our families will be at even greater risk in the next fire.

How could any you do this to us? Your decision is criminal, and cannot prevail!!! This fight is not over.

Irespectfully urge you to please vote at the April 27 meeting in support of the Cooperati ve Agreement with Anaheim Ballet.

Irecently began taking ballet classes, and it has been a wonderful challenge for me. I am learning healthy body alignment, improving my physical well-being, and participating in a supportive and welcoming community — all at an affordable cost. Ballet has also given me a new outlet where Iam slowly building friendships and connections.

Recent public conversations, including comments from actor Timothy Chalamet suggesting that people no longer care about ballet, make spaces like Anaheim Ballet even more important. The City Council has the opportuni ty to show that the arts still matter. Institutions like Anaheim Ballet demonstrate that ballet continues to have deep value for individuals and communi ties when it is accessible and supported. Losing this space risks sending the message that the arts are not valued, when in fact they play an essential role in community health, connection, and cultural enrichment.

It is best for the community — and especially for underserved youth — that Anaheim Ballet remains in its current accessible location. Please approve this agreement and help ensure Anaheim Ballet can conti nue servi ng Anahei m residents with highquality ballet education that is not easily found elsewhere.

DHS Funding Standoff
Throughout this week, I’ve been demanding that ICE respect Americans’ Constitutional Rights for families in Orange County and throughout the country. I will only consider voting for a Department of Homeland Security funding bill that at the minimum:

Bans the deportation or detention of U.S. Citizens
Prohibits operations at sensitive locations like schools, houses of worship, and polling places
Requires agents to get a warrant from a judge before kicking in someone’ s door Rep. Correa explains the DHS Funding bill to constituents .

My Bipartisan Bill Heads to the House Floor
In this bipartisan environment, it is important to reach across the aisle to find solutions that support Main Street . Bankruptcy is a painful last resort for struggling businesses, impacting the people and communities that rely on their services. I introduced the Bankruptcy Threshold Adjustment Act of 2026 to create a streamlined and more cost-effective process accessible to more businesses, enabling them to settle their debts and continue serving their cust omers.

My legislation passed out of the House Judiciary Committee this week and now heads to the House Floor for a vote.

Southern California is the ent ertainment capital of the world and a key driver of California’ s economy. The proposed merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. must be carefully examined. Any approval must include safeguards to guarantee that jobs are created— not lost— and that film productions remain here at home.

Condemning Cesar Chavez over Abuse Reports
Whether it is the president of the United States, a British prince, or a leader of farm workers, all sexual predators must be held accountable. There must be zero tolerance for sexual predators, especially those who prey on young children.

Improving our Roads, Parks, and Expanding Afforda ble Housing Last week, I had numerous meetings to address ways to improve Orange County for you and your family. I met with the American Society of Civil Engineers to discuss supporting infrastructure investments to help improve roads and safety across communities in Southern California. I also had the privilege to meet Councilmember Victor Barrios of Stanton. We’re working to secure federal funding to upgrade our public parks so families across Orange County can enjoy vibrant outdoor spaces. I am also working with Anaheim Councilman Ryan Balius to make more affordable housing in our neighborhoods.

This past weekend, I attended Templo Calvario’ s annual Empowering Lives Dinner, celebrating the many individuals whose lives have been positively impacted by their programs. Federal Funding to Renovate Historic Chepa’ s Park
I was proud to present a $2 million check on Monday to the City of Santa Ana for renovations and upgrades to historic Chepa’ s Park. This funding will be used to demolish and reconst ruct a new community center and other improvements including a new basketball court, new landscaping, picnic areas, site lighting, new playground equipment and accessible pat hways.

Chepa’ s Park and the surrounding Logan Barrio neighborhood have played a pivotal part in Mexican- American history in Santa Ana. I sought to honor that history so this park can continue providing a place for community members of all ages to come together for generations to come.

Sta nton Community and Senior Center Complex Funding
Yesterday, I present ed a $ 250,000 check to the City of Stanton for renovations to their Community and Senior Center Complex, part of the FY2026 Federal Community Project Funding I secured for California’ s 46th Congressional District. Stanton’s community center is a shining example of how local government has the power to make a valuable impact on residents. This federal investment is an investment in the people of Stanton.

Firs t I want to say, I lived in Anaheim Hills for 15 years and moved to Yorba Linda in 2010. So I am writing this as a non- res ident to AH. Maybe it does n’ t carry any weight, but truly it should carry MORE weight as a concern for YOUR residents and the neighboring city res idents . Not to mention the shop and res taurant owners of AH.

The traffic in Anaheim Hills (specifically at the 91 Fwy and Weir Canyon) on Thursday and especially Friday’ s is horrendous . The thought of the approval of MORE hous ing in the Fes tival Center area is actually quite shocking. Adding to this mess on the heavies t traffic days seems counter intuitive to the res idents and neighboring city res idents who shop and dine in Anaheim Hills .

From a safety standpoint ( fire evacuation - I lived there during the freeway fires and it was terrifying trying to get down Serrano). I had my 3 children in my car and flames were 5 feet from us burning on the middle is land and sides of the street. How on earth, if that happens again, God forbid, do you plan on helping res idents evacuate when adding MORE res idents at the bas e of the evacuation route? What is the evacuation plan now?
Las tly, as a cons umer to the stores and res taurants in Anaheim Hills . Our family and many I know in Yorba Linda will not go near the AH area starting at 2pm on Friday. So your store and res taurant owners are LOSING INCOME. You should be protecting them.

I hope you figure this out for the long term well being of your res idents.

Good evening council,
Las t month this council showed support for communities that are under attack from violent state actors . In this area as we know this group is largely made up of chicanos and immigrants . Thes e same communities continue to be under attack by not only ICE which this council happily came out agains t, but als o state forces such as police who continue to murder chicanos without jus t caus e in the streets. We know it is wrong when ICE thugs come to tear families apart so why don’ t we realize how wrong it is for police to kill members of our communities and face no consequences . If this council cares about protecting the communities in Anaheim then it will als o take action to materially support the family of Albert Arzola who was unjus tly murdered by Anaheim PD. We demand the releas e of the officer names as well as the autops y of Albert which has been withheld. His family des erves jus tice and this community des erves change and to feel safe in their own neighborhoods , not only from ICE but als o from Police.

Fireworks began in1958—just3years aftertheparkopened. During thelate80s/early90s, Disneyland transitioned toregularnightlyfireworksshows, moving fromoccasional entertainment intoaconsistent, ongoingoperation. Formorethan65years, fireworks havebeenlaunched over thesameareaofAnaheim. We’renottalking aboutaone-timeevent. We’retalking about six decadesofrepeatedactivity—thousandsuponthousandsoffireworksshows—occurring overthesamehomes, thesameapartmentcomplexes, thesamebusinesses, thesameparks, andthesameschools.
