CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
City of Anaheim
POLICE DEPARTMENT
DATE: JUNE 23, 2026
FROM: POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUBJECT: POLICE DEPARTMENT FEE SCHEDULES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026/27
ATTACHMENT (Y/N): YES ITEM # 24-H
GOVERNMENT CODE § 84308 APPLIES: NO
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Resolution, authorize the adjustment of existing fees to be charged by the Anaheim Police Department for Fiscal Year 2026/27.
DISCUSSION:
The Anaheim Police Department (APD) serves the community by providing professional and responsive public safety and police services to the City’s residents, visitors, schools, and businesses. In support of these services, APD charges fees for providing various types of information upon request, vehicle releases, CVC Violation/Citation sign-offs, fingerprint services, and the Pay to Stay Program.
For Fiscal Year 2026/27, APD recommends increasing the current fees charged by the department by approximately 3%. The new fees schedule will help offset the increased cost of labor and materials needed to process each request and provide services. There has not been an increase in Police Department fees since Fiscal Year 2019/20. The current fee schedule and the proposed fees are below:
Description Current Fee Proposed Fee
Clearance Letters $24.00 $25.00
Impound Vehicle Release $152.00 $157.00
Repossessed Vehicle Release $15.00 $16.00
Private Party Impound Fee $12.00 $13.00
California Vehicle Code Equipment Violation $17.00 $18.00 Audio Tape Copies $23.00 $24.00
Puma Recordings $24.00 $25.00
Body Worn Camera Recordings $33.00 $34.00
Pay to Stay Program – 1st Day $155.00 $160.00
Pay to Stay Program – each additional day $103.00 $106.00 Fingerprinting Service (1-2 Cards) $14.00 $15.00
Police Department Fee Schedule for FY 2026/27
June 23, 2026
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Revenue from the proposed fee changes is included in the proposed FY 2026/27 General Fund budget for the Police Department.
Respectfully submitted,
Manny Cid
Chief of Police
