RESOLUTION NO. 2026 -
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ADOPTING THE CENTRAL ANAHEIM MASTER
PLAN OF SANITARY SEWERS DATED APRIL 2026 AND
ADOPTING THE CENTRAL ANAHEIM SANITARY SEWER
FINANCIAL IMPLEMENTATION PLAN DATED APRIL 2026
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2026-058
WHEREAS, the future needs of the CITY for expansion and capital improvements of its sanitary sewer system fees require periodic updating and amendment to account for growth and shifting population patterns; and WHEREAS, the existing sewer infrastructure for portions of the CITY is antiquated and may be inadequate to handle future capacities expected to be generated by the land uses permitted on the CITY'S General Plan; and WHEREAS, changes in land uses and revised sewer design parameters make it desirable to develop long-and short-range plans for the CITY'S sewer system; and WHEREAS, the most comprehensive and reliable method for study of sanitary needs required a regional approach rather than more fragmented study areas previously utilized to determine future sewer requirements; and WHEREAS, the Anaheim Area that is the subject of the Central Anaheim Master Plan of Sanitary Sewers Dated April 2026 and the Central Anaheim Sanitary Sewer Financial Implementation Plan Dated April 2026 (together hereinafter referred to as “Studies”) and these Studies are generally bounded by Euclid Avenue on the west, on the east by the Santa Ana River and the 91 freeway, on the south by the southern City limits, and the north by the northern City limits; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim previously adopted its A naheim Area that is the subject of the Central Anaheim Master Plan of Sanitary Sewers Dated April 2026 and the Central Anaheim Sanitary Sewer Financial Implementation Plan Dated April 2026 on June 9, 2026 with the adoption of Resolution No. 2026-058 and the City Council desires to rescind Resolution No. 2026- 058 and finds it is necessary and desirable to re adopt the Central Anaheim Master Plan of Sanitary Sewers Dated April 2026 and the Central Anaheim Sanitary Sewer Financial Implementation Plan Dated April 2026, each on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows:
2 1. Resolution No. 2026-058 is hereby rescinded.
2. The City Council does hereby adopt the Central Anaheim Master Plan of Sanitary Sewers Dated April 2026 and the Central Anaheim Sanitary Sewer Financial Implementation Plan Dated April 2026 to supersede previous Sewer Master Plan and Sewer Master Financial Implementation Plan of the area included within the study area thereof.
3. Prior resolutions adopting sanitary sewer studies and/or Master Plans and/or Financial Implementation Plans or portions thereof which are outside the area surveyed by the Central Anaheim Master Plan of Sanitary Sewers shall remain in full force and effect.
