RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Proclamation: Recognizing October 2026, as Filipino American History Month (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
Certificate: Recognizing Pastor Kim Skilling for her retirement from Anaheim First Presbyterian Church and her service to the community (Requested by Council Member Maahs).
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
