Mayor Bernal called the Special Meeting to order at 6:0 3 P.M., and Acting City Clerk Manuel called the roll.
Present: Council Members District 3 Freitas , District 4 Wilson, Mayor Pro Tem (District 2) Rocha and Mayor Bernal (Council Members District 1 Torres-Walker arrived after roll call in the City Hall 3rd Floor Conference Room)
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Bernal led the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Kathryn Wade, Tiki Flow, Eddie Gums, Tachina Garrett, Patricia Granados, Leslie May, Nichole Gardner and Gavin Payton discussed Closed Session Item #1 Public Employee Performance Discipline / Dismissal / Release. Several speakers expressed concern about potential bias in decision-making.
CLOSED SESSION:
1. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE DISCIPLINE/ DISMISSAL/ RELEASE – This closed session is authorized pursuant to Government Code section 54957.
ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Bernal adjourned to Closed Session at 6:32 P.M.
Councilmember Torres-Walker left after Closed Session.
RETURN TO OPEN SESSION FROM CLOSED SESSION TO REPORT OUT
ROLL CALL
The City Council returned to Open Session at 9:06 P.M., and Acting City Clerk Manuel called the roll.

Absent: Council Members District 1 Torres-Walker

Mayor Bernal reported the City Council had been in Closed Session and gave the following report: #1 PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE DISCIPLINE/ DISMISSAL/ RELEASE, no reportable action.
ADJOURNMENT
On motion by Councilmember Wilson, seconded by Councilmember Rocha the City Council members present unanimously adjourned the Special Meeting at 9:07 P.M.
