Never in the 38 years of living on Apple Valley Rd. have have I ever seen the speeding problem as bad as it is now. I mean vehicles going 75 MPH or even faster to pass other vehicles. On 12-26-21, about 10 AM my neighbor on the east side of Apple Valley Rd. was slowing down in the northbound lane to enter her driveway. The first car behind her was slowing down when the second car rear-ended the first car causing it to spin across the south bound lanes into my yard. Just by Pure-luck the the first car didn't hit a south bound vehicle as it crossed the south bound lane. This bad accident would have been a horrible one. As it was, the responding emergency vehicles included one large fire truck, 3 small fire trucks, and about 5 Sheriff vehicles, and an ambulance..

According too the California Vehicle Code this area is a residential area, as a lot of this section of apple Valley Rd is. The Town of Apple Valley needs to lower the speed limit. A 45 MPH zone would sure help.

When you drive through the village area the 60 MPH is posted at 50 MPH.

If you drive on the multi-lane Bear Valley Rd the 55 MPH is posted at 50 MPH at many sections. All the reduced speeds are for safety concerns. Apply Valley Rd absolutely has safety concerns.
