To whom it may concern
It has been brought to my attention that pets at Apple Valley shelter primarily dogs are being held in utterly barbaric conditions prior to being euthanized. Dogs are being shown held in blue canvas holding cells in unconscionable conditions, floors and walls covered in feces, dogs riddled with fleas and no food or water in their bowls.they are held for days in 100 degree temperatures. I am requesting you and your fellow officers initiate an immediate investigation into the horrible treatment of these Apple valley shelter animals.
The Apple Valley shelter facility is legally bound to treat all animals in accordance to state and local animal welfare laws, which are to be taken seriously by all involved, please convine with director Gina Whiteside to inquire why these atrocities are being committed with new promise of funding all on her watch. The conditions these dogs are held in are illegal and unethical.
