Dear Sir or Madam,
AVAS staff are unable to manage their intake effectively, they are not giving the dogs enough time to get seen from date of intake to Euth list. They are not giving networkers a list of the euthanasia list to allow networkers to find the dogs homes. Did you know that it is the policy of the state of California that no adoptable animal should be euthanized if it can be adopted into a suitable home. They should also be released to a non-profit 501(c) 3 animal rescue or adoption before euthanasia. They are not following this. They are allowing dogs to be adopted without getting spayed/neutered, even though they have it on their website that they do. Dogs are now coming back pregnant that we're adopted previously. They do not take pictures or do behavioral notes for individual dogs in a timely manner and some conflict with volunteer notes. They do not let volunteers take the dogs out. Gina Whiteside should resign she has no interest in the animal shelter. A ridiculous policy was brought in the other week whereby dogs on Euth list were not allowed to be adopted out. They do not care about the dogs.
Kind Regards
Sarah Baker
