Dear Apple Valley Town Council,
I am writing as a resident of Reno, NV who recently has tried to adopt 2 different dogs from the Apple Valley Animal Shelter in the past month. My first interaction was an email about a month ago, in early January, in which I inquired about a dog. I followed the instructions on the adoption form to email animal services with any questions. I gave the name of the dog and inquired if it was good with dogs; i.e.: not showing any aggressive behavior. They emailed back indicating I need to include the dog identification number. I re-sent the same email within 24 hours, but added the dog I.D. number and no one ever responded. Then on Sunday, Feb 11, I emailed an application form for a dog named Daisy that is currently in the shelter and will be "pulled" on Feb 13th. Again, I asked if the dog has any signs of aggression. To date, I have not received any acknowledgement of my email or my application, nor the answer to my behavioral question. It appears your shelter is not very well run and felt you should be made aware.
Thank you for your time,
Robin Mercer
