Seeing how AVAS is being run is an outrage! Better solutions need to be found, and the current contract needs to be cancelled as AVAS is not holding up their end of the bargain. I work in local government and have never seen a shelter that is so poorly run. Ending up in AVAS is tantamount to a death sentence. It is heartbreaking to see the record amount of time in which animals are euthanized without giving adopters and rescues a sufficient chance to pull them. Please, do something about this nightmare!!!! Thank you,
