I had been in contact with a recur & twice I have wanted to adopt dogs that have scheduled for euthanasia with the intent to save lives. The facility was fully aware of my intent & scheduled to pick up the dogs. The rescue was at the facility at the appropriate time & was informed the dogs had already been put down. I’ve heard stories of this happening a number of times. This is unconscionable cruelty to the animals & the potential adopters. I was so heartbroken when I was informed the dog I wanted was already euthanized. It was such a helpless feeling after trying to save a precious animal
