Please allow this correspondence to express and affirm my support of the proposed amendments to the contract between the Town of Apple Valley and the County of San Bernardino for Animal Shelter Services. I believe that the provision of additional funds to the Town, as well as the inclusion of contractual provisions requiring monthly meetings, exploring possibilities for expanding hours of service, and more, will greatly benefit the animals and community of Apple Valley. I am especially excited to see the provision of funds for a cat TNVR program. Having the County take a more hands-on approach to AVAS is something I wholeheartedly support. AVAS has clearly been in need of different leadership for many years, and this is a step in the right direction. Thank you.
