Hello,
Please improve the animal shelter. For the sake of the thousands of animals who cannot advocate for themselves, and the system which unfortunately ends up destroying such a large percentage of the ones that are brought in, we feel that there could be better quality in the care and more alternatives to the current process.
Please discontinue the leash law with regard to cats. This results in too many landing in the shelter, and with the owner’s inability to retrieve them for whatever reason, the cat is destroyed.
Please enact a TNR program. There would be many members of the community who would gladly help with this undertaking in an effort to reduce the feral population.
