Dear councilors,
I am writing about the conditions at the Apple Valley Animal Shelter. The rate of euthanasia for otherwise healthy cats is disturbing.
Is there some way to get a Trap, Neuter, Release type of program going in the high desert for feral colonies, as well as a low cost spay/neuter program in place for pet owners?
My friends and relatives back East are absolutely shocked that things are left this way in this community.
I hope some common sense, humane policies and programs can be put into place.
