Hello,
I’m writing with grave concern about the practices at Apple Valley Animal Shelter, or more aptly called:
Slaughterhouse. It’s appalling.
You are wasting the towns money, you are wasting tax payer dollars, you are wasting the money given to by the county and there will be no improvements to the shelter and the vitriol among residents, city council and shelter employees will not change unless you do the following:
1. modify the leash law to exclude cats
2. create a TNR program,
3. offer free, spay and neuter to residents. Your constituents can NOT afford spay and neuter so they forgo doing it which has created this mess.
It is my opinion that by allowing these massacres to continue that you are openly supporting animal cruelty, animal suffering, and are at risk of exposure on a national level by animal rights activist groups.
You can, and you must do better.
