1 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcata was held on the above date at 4:07 p.m. via teleconference utilizing Zoom Video Communications, with Mayor Atkins-Salazar presiding. Notice of this meeting was posted on June 9, 2022. PRESENT: Atkins-Salazar, Schaefer, Matthews, Watson. ABSENT: None. STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Diemer, Assistant City Manager/Personnel Director Demello, Director of Community Development Loya, Deputy Director of Community Development Dart.

OLD BUSINESS
A. Public Hearing Authorizing Submission of Three Applications for Funding under the State 2022 Community Development Block Grant Program.
Deputy Director of Community Development Dart recommended the following proposals for funding under the 2022 Community Development Block Grant Program: Planning and Technical Assistance funds for a Teen/Community Center in Valley West; Programmatic funds for the Business Assistance and Microenterprise Program; and Planning and Technical Assistance funds for an Economic Development Implementation Plan.
ON MOTION BY MATTHEWS, SECONDED BY ATKINS-SALAZAR, THE COUNCIL ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 212-69 AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF THREE 22- CDBG APPLICATIONS, AND RESOLUTION NO. 212-71 DESIGNATING THE NEPA
CERTIFYING OFFICER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO APPLICATIONS DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION NO. 212-69. AYES: ATKINSSALAZAR, SCHAEFER, MATTHEWS, WATSON. NOES: NONE. ABSENT: NONE.
