1 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcata was held on the above date at 4:05 p.m. With Mayor Matthews presiding. Notice of this meeting was posted on May 3, 2024.
PRESENT: Matthews, Stillman, White. ABSENT: Atkins-Salazar, Schaefer. STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Diemer, Human Resources/Administrative Services Director Vink.
PUBLIC COMMENT
The Mayor invited public comment.
Fred Weis shared that he was assured that the process for recruiting a new City Manager would go well. He said that he had heard about a Citizens Committee, offered to help if needed and thanked the Council for their work.
The Mayor closed the public comment period.
The Council retired to closed session.
CLOSED SESSION
A. PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957(b)(1): City Manager.
The City Council met in closed session in the City Manager's Conference Room.
