Hi Merritt,
The HLC is comprised of experts in the fields of Archeology, Historic Architecture, and History. The members are all accomplished in their respective fields. And the City is very lucky to have their support and input.

The HLC has been working on:

1. Proposals for historic preservation month;

2. The historic context statement; and

3. Nomination of the Plaza as an historic place.

In addition, the HLC provides invaluable input on projects and policies that may affect historic resources.

The HLC does not currently have any specific goals or priorities that should be elevated to a Council Goal, per se. But they do appreciate the support of the Council for their work.
