Dear City Council members,
I really appreciate your efforts to get this on the agenda, and I am grateful to Councilmember Schaefer for writing the draft of the letter to CalPERS. The CalPERS letter will be far more impactful than the proposal calling for more aid to be let into Gaza, although both are important. I think you know this, so please don't be afraid to take a bold stance. At this stage, two years in, we need to take stronger measures to stop a humanitarian catastrophe from unfolding (i.e. the starvation and displacement/ethnic cleansing of a people). So please vote to pass Sarah's draft letter. Of course, you can vote for both, but hers will be the most impactful.
It matters to so many of us, and will contribute greatly to the efforts of so many in our community to end this conflict and bring about a ceasefire. Thank you.
