Reasons for wantin to serve on this commission/committee.
I live within the City of Arcata Planning Zone, and truly value the quality of life our community offers. I often think about how our streets function for everyone- drivers, bicyclists, pedestrians, • transit users, and skateboarders. I consider how thoughtful design can improve safety, access, and everyday experience. Serving on the Transportation Safety Committee would allow me to • contribute my perspective and time toward supporting a safer, more connected Arcata, and to give back to the community I care deeply about.
I am a food manufacturing, operations and logistics professional with over a decade of experience managing complex systems, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. I bring a practical, user-focused perspective to transportation planning, with strong interest in pedestrian safety, bicycle and skateboard access, mass transit connectivity, and thoughtful city development. I value inclusive, safe transportation systems that balance efficiency with quality o life.
If appointed, your name, appointment date, and term of office will be subject to public disclosure.
I certify under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California that the foregoing is true and correct.

Reasons for wantin to serve on this commission/committee.
I love being a resident of Arcata and I am looking for ways to get invovled and share my skills and talents with this beautiful community. I moved to Arcata after being in Sacramento for • several years to be closer to my partner's family. As a macro social worker, it is important for • me to get involved in my local community. I have a background in environmental policy and social work adminstration and would love to lend that experience to Arcata's Planning • Commission. I have fallen in love with what the City of Arcata has to offer and hope to be a part of its legacy. I am open to serving on any commission/committee where my passion, skills, and • expertise are needed. Being able to give back to my community is something that fuels me and • I would appreciate the opportunity to do that by being a member of the Planning Commission.
I come from a policy and community organizing background. I am currently a Grant Coordinator at FosterHope Sacramento and have been with the agency working on its growth and development for four years. I have a BS in Environmental Science and Plolicy from the University of Maryland and a Master's of Science in Social Administration with a focus in Community Practice for Social Change from Case Western Reserve University. My education paired with my two years of experience in National Service as an AmeriCorps VISTA and VISTA leader give me the understanding of local government and its unique complexities. In my current role at FosterHope I handle contracts and budgets for our agency and support with overall agency operations, I have seen this organization change and grow and have been able to support that through admistrative know how and resource development. I am a data and compliance driven person and will bring that to my work on the Planning Commission. ¥- V:- t"'e~\AV\,\..L \V\CMA<M.ol ( M()V'C,. W\ • OY\

I would like to bring my safety expertise to my community, even if it is more focused on production and laboratory facility safety.
I am interested in promoting community transportation: easier for walking, biking, skateboarding; more accessibility for public transportation such as buses, rental bikes, ride sharing; aiming for a more walkable "15-minute" city concept.
I would like to get more involved with my community and help bring the ideas and concepts that the people of Arcata have to fruition.
- Root cause analysis from both a quality and safety perspective to find the actual issue that needs to be addressed, not just addressing the symptoms. - Reading, understanding, and explaining federal, state, and local regulations. - Writing in-house procedures for safety and quality to meet regulations. - Working in committees to discuss and manage projects and help to implement solutions. - General safety principles for facilities and work places. - Bicycling in rain or shine as my main transport for work, and throughout Arcata.
