CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ramoso called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m.
Present: Mayor Ramoso, Mayor Pro Tem Manalo, Councilmembers Lima, Taj, and Trevino Staff Present: City Manager Schindler, Deputy City Manager Burke, Acting City Clerk Alderete, City Attorney Nguyen, Finance Manager Murguia, Acting Public Works Manager Sanchez, Community Development Director Dor, Special Projects Manager Lee, Management Analysts Tafoya-Nacionales, Laquian, Weichbrodt, and Acting Administrative Secretary Dyer
INVOCATION
Father Dominic Denina, Holy Family delivered the invocation.

Xavier Ramoso Delatorre led the pledge of allegiance.

Jane Magan Chan sang the national anthem.

1. CONSIDERATION AND ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 22-2905, A RESOLUTION OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARTESIA, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACTS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2022, AND

2. PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION TO RE-ELECTED
COUNCILMEMBERS
Acting City Clerk Alderete presented Certificates of Election to Mayor Ramoso, and Councilmembers Taj and Trevino.
3. SWEARING IN OF RE-ELECTED COUNCILMEMBERS
a. Former Cerritos Mayor Mark Pulido administered the Oath of Office to Mayor Melissa Ramoso.
b. L.A. County Sheriff Robert G. Luna administered the Oath of Office to Councilmember Ali Taj.
c. Sergeant Eloy Ramos administered the Oath of Office to Councilmember Rene Trevino.
4. COMMENTS FROM RE-ELECTED COUNCILMEMBERS
Mayor Ramoso, Mayor Pro Tem Manalo, and Councilmembers Lima, Taj, and Trevino provided comments.
5. SELECTION OF MAYOR
Mayor Ramoso opened the nominations for Mayor. Councilmember Trevino nominated Mayor Pro Tem Manalo and Council affirmed the nomination with a unanimous vote.
6. SELECTION OF MAYOR PRO TEM
Mayor Manalo opened the nominations for Mayor Pro Tem. Councilmember Taj nominated Councilmember Lima and Council affirmed the nomination with a unanimous
