CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Manalo called the meeting to order at 7:39 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Manalo, Mayor Pro Tem Lima, Councilmembers Taj, Trevino, and Ramoso Staff Present: City Manager Schindler, Deputy City Manager Burke, City Clerk Alderete, City Attorney Nguyen, Finance Manager Murguia, Community Development Director Dor, Parks and Recreation Manager Guerra, Special Projects Manager Lee, Management Analysts Tafoya-Nacionales, Laquian, Weichbrodt, Dean, Fajardo, and Administrative Secretary NietoLinares
INVOCATION
Victor Manalo delivered the invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Miss Artesia and Miss Artesia Teens led the pledge of allegiance.

Public comments could be provided, in person or submitted by email to [email protected],is by 12:00 p.m. on the date of the meeting. We received written comments in advance of the meeting from Jonathan Hawes, which were provided to the Council and public in the lobby agenda packet. No public comments were made in-person.

REORGANIZATION PROGRAM
1 . SELECTION OF MAYOR
Mayor Manalo opened the nominations for Mayor. Councilmember Trevino nominated Councilmember Lima and Council affirmed the nomination with a unanimous vote.
2. SELECTION OF MAYOR PRO TEM
Mayor Lima opened the nominations for Mayor Pro Tem. Councilmember Manalo nominated Councilmember Taj and Council affirmed the nomination with a unanimous vote.
3. INCOMING MAYOR'S COMMENTS
Mayor Lima provided comments.

ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m. to the Adjourned Regular City Council Meeting and Successor Agency meeting on December "18, 2023, at 7:00p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at I 8747 Clarkdale Ave. Artesia, CA 90701.
