Exparte Communications from Mayor Olivia Calderon: I was contacted and I was in a meeting at the start of the new year. The Developers and the small businesses that have been working, we all know them very very well because they have been in our community here, investing in our community for a long time, did reach out and I was in a meeting at the start of the new year, because they had concerns that this project has been delayed, that they had been many years in the making, that when they were out there, fenced off, and there were tractors out there getting ready to level off the ground, that they had received a notice to stop all work because they didn't have the permits to do the work.

However, thankfully, they had all of their receipts to show that they had in fact paid for permits and in fact had the blueprints that they had designed, the vision for what they want to create out there for our community. I was glad that they had all of those documentation organized and in order and we did meet with our Consultants through Precision and the City Manager to ensure that whatever happened in the past, it's a new moment, we are moving forward, that all of their permits and all of their documentation be recorded appropriately, and that we look for a solution so that we could help facilitate this project moving forward.

Because like we said in our City, we are open for business, we want to provide the highest quality customer service and make it easy for folks who want invest and build in the City of Arvin.

Hearing closed.
